Ok - very dated.The breakfast is served for an hr only 7.30 - 8.30. If u miss it - you miss it. The website says food is available - its not anymore. The guy said the web site was very very old. And god forfid u ask for shampoo. The response was 'you can only have it if you request it'. Well i am!!!!!!??? I booked two nights and in the day the heating went off entirely. I called to ask for it to be turned on as i was freezing and was told i was only allowed an hr. Yeah was incredibly confused by this place! 110 wasted.
At first seemed pretty good, with a comfortable bed in a decent size room. However the following morning the staff were rude and condescending during a discussion about allergens in the breakfast (to be fair, we got it sorted out and the food was good).My stay had to be broken into two parts due to them being fully booked. For the second half I was allocated a single cupboard - to call it a room at 6 sq m (64 sq ft) would be too generous, particularly with 3/4 of the floor covered by furniture. The bed and toilet had a low angled ceiling which I almost banged my head on several times despite being of short stature. The bedding was also uncomfortable due to the quilt cover being far too big for the quilt. After further rudeness and arrogance from the staff we agreed an upgrade to a king room which was fine though cold (due to heaters being obstructed) and with mould in the bathroom.Overall, not recommended. However YMMV and if you just need a double room for a couple nights this guest house offers it at a reasonable rate with good breakfast.(Proof of stay and pics of small room available on request)
The place is clean and we'll presented with a curtious welcome. There is ample parking to the rear garden. 200 yds down the road is a Greene King pub that does meals called the Air Balloon. The breakfast is ok and cooked to order but you help yourself to cerials and juice
This is a nice b&b but they do have a couple of single beds which aren't any good if you're over 6 foot. It is clean comfortable and modern and offers a good breakfast.
Really nice place to stay. Staff is very friendly, room was nice and clean. Also quiet area, and not too far from city center. Fully recommended
