Good range of quality outdoor gear. Helpful staff. Expensive although good bargains on sale.
I went to this store in a really busy Sunday morning so maybe not at it's best but the service I had really wasn't very good. The only running specialist had called in sick,two other people also came in for running advice but there was no one to help. One lady tried her best but had no idea about running shoes at all. It was clearly drastically understaffed so not the workers fault at all but it was not a pleasant retail experience. I then tried to buy my shoes but my vitality discount wasn't working as the system was down and apparently had been since the day before. I was told I could come back another time which was incredibly unhelpful. Just a bit of a rubbish experience and probably won't go back (sorry to all the no doubt lovely people that work there trying their best).
I called Snow and Rock Bristol on two separate days to ask for advice and stock availability on Ski's but never got a call back. Not very good customer service. I dont live in Bristol was was not going to travel 2 hours in the car to find they didnt have any ones suitable in stock.
Went in to consider purchasing trail running shoes and was provided with excellent, inform active advice from the staff member who was not trying to hard sell me anything. Will definitely visit again.
Went there to buy some new walking boots but got nothing but rude staff who were not interested in helping as the lady upstairs stated 'We are interested in ski equipment at this time of year and if we wanted boots we should go to Cotswold Outdoor'. The three staff upstairs did not even offer assistance when i measured my own feet. They just continued there playing about between themselves. Sad to say but after many years and many thousands spent in the shop that I will never go back!!!!!
